Your privacy at Fivebreak
Collect the minimum. You can read, listen and take the test without an account. If you subscribe, FIVEBREAK stores your email address, subscription status, consent records (including when and how consent was given) and the strictly necessary technical and security data required to operate and protect the service. We never ask for your name, phone number, postal address, ID or date of birth.
Why. We use your email address to manage your subscription and send you the daily Fivebreak edition. FIVEBREAK is free; we never ask for payment details and we do not sell your email address.
Age. You must be 14 or older to subscribe. Our public content is suitable for a general audience.
Subscription and confirmation. FIVEBREAK uses double opt-in. Submitting the subscription form does not immediately activate the subscription. The address becomes an active subscriber only after you complete the confirmation step in the email we send you. Until then, you receive no daily editions.
Email delivery. Emails are sent from daily@fivebreak.com using Resend, which processes your email address and the email content necessary to deliver and operate those emails on our behalf. Resend may process this data outside the European Economic Area, subject to applicable data-protection requirements.
Analytics and cookies. We use Google Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how FIVEBREAK is used and to improve the service. Analytics is activated only if you choose Accept. If you choose Decline, analytics remains disabled. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through Cookie Settings in the footer. Withdrawing consent stops future analytics tracking on that browser; it does not affect data lawfully collected before withdrawal. We do not use Google Analytics for advertising, IP addresses are anonymised, and we do not send your email address, subscriber identifier, confirmation token or other subscription information to Google Analytics.
Unsubscribing. Every email contains an unsubscribe link and supports one-click unsubscribe where supported by your email provider. Unsubscribing stops future daily emails. We may retain the minimum records necessary to document consent, honour an unsubscribe request, prevent unwanted re-subscription and comply with applicable legal obligations.
Service providers. We use service providers where necessary to operate FIVEBREAK. These currently include Resend for email delivery, Google Analytics for consent-based aggregate usage statistics, and Lovable for hosting and database infrastructure. These providers process only the information necessary for the relevant service. Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area, subject to applicable data-protection requirements.
Security. Access to personal data is restricted to the systems and services that need it to operate FIVEBREAK. Sign-up and confirmation security records are stored only as irreversible hashes and are deleted within 24 hours. If a personal-data breach required notification under applicable law, we would notify the competent authority and affected individuals where required.
Your rights. You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, restrict or object to its processing, or withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, by writing to hello@fivebreak.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).
